Hi =)!

Hi..=)...Ltr i am introducing my profile but I want to tell you about a cornet first...

This picture below is a cornet...Ltr there are more information about musical instrument as u scroll this page down...The cornet was originally derived from the post horn. Sometimes it is called Cornopean. This term refers to the earliest Cornets with the Stoelzel valvesystem. This instrument could not have been developed without the invention of the valves by Stölzel and Blühml. These two instrument makers almost simultaneously invented the modern valves, as still used today. They jointly applied for a patent and were granted this for a period of ten years. The first great player was Jean Baptiste Arban. In the first half of the 19th century he studied Cornet at the Conservatoire National in Paris. He started studying the Cornopean but quickly changed to the Cornet. He was influenced by Niccolò Paganini, the violin virtuoso, and tried to apply his technical virtuosity to brass instruments.

Now this is an oboe: Lol...its the instrument that my sister is playing, she is in a secondary school band..See more about oboe
The oboe is a double reed musical instrument of the woodwind family. The English word "oboe" comes from the French translation of the word hautbois; the name of the instrument in French (literal meaning, "high" or "loud" wood). The Italian name displaced the older English name "hautboy" or "hoboy" in the 18th century. A musician who plays the oboe is called an oboist. Careful manipulation of embouchure and air pressure allows the player to express a large timbral and dynamic range. Along with the French Horn, the oboe is often considered the most difficult instrument to play. It has three joints which traditionally has 10 or 11 holes on the first joint, played mostly by the left hand. Another 10 or 11 holes are on the second joint, played mainly by the left hand. And on the bell are two rarely used covered holes..Interesting?lol..=0

Now here's a clarinet: See more about the reed...The instrument uses a single reed made from the cane of Arundo donax, a type of grass. Reeds may also be manufactured from synthetic materials. The ligature fastens the reed to the mouthpiece. When air is blown through the opening between the reed and the mouthpiece facing, the reed vibrates and produces the instrument's sound.
While a few clarinetists make their own reeds, most buy manufactured reeds, though many players make adjustments to these reeds to improve playability. Clarinet reeds come in varying degrees of hardness, generally indicated on a scale from one (softest) through five (hardest). This numbering system is not standardized, varying between reed manufacturers. Reed hardness and mouthpiece characteristics work together to determine ease of playability, pitch stability, and tonal characteristics...

This is a clarinet,bassoon and oboe..Cool!!!!!!!!!

Lets start about musical instruments: This is a tenor saxophone..There are 4 types of saxophone which are Tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone,Alto saxophone and bass saxophone....Have you heard of STAB?lol.. S stands for Suprano saxophone,T stands for Tenor saxophone,A stands for Alto saxophone,B stands for bass saxophone which make up the STAB..Suprano and Tenor are the higher pitch ones ,alto and bass are the lower pitch ones...lol.There are more types of saxophone in the later part...

Here's another type of saxophone which is call bass saxophone:Let me tell you the material of saxophone,
Nearly all saxophones are made from brass. (They are categorized as woodwind instruments, however, not as brass instruments; despite the categories' names, an instrument's category is determined not by the materials used, but by the method of tone production.)
Brass is used to make the body of the instrument; the pad cups which hold leather pads; the rods that connect the pads to the brass keys, and the posts that hold the rods and keys in place. The screw pins that connect the rods to the posts, and the springs that cause keys to return to their place after being released, are generally made of steel, or on inexpensive saxophones, aluminum. Since 1920, nearly all saxophones have key touches (smooth decorative pieces placed where the fingers will touch the instrument) made of either plastic or mother of pearl, complicating huh lol... its quite interesting actually..=)

Lol cool!!!!!!!!!All saxophone instruments

Lol..Flute? ..See more about it
Leonardo de Lorenzo - My complete story of the Flute
Inexpensive Western concert flutes are normally made of brass, polished and then silver-plated and lacquered to prevent corrosion. They can also be made from a range of metals such as silver (Britannia or Sterling); gold (yellow, white, or rose); platinum ; and even alloys. They can be either gold on the inside and silver on the outside, or vice versa.
Most metal flutes are made of alloys that contain significant amounts of copper or silver. These alloys are biostatic because of the oligodynamic effect, and thus suppress growth of unpleasant molds, fungi and bacteria.
Good instruments are designed to prevent or reduce galvanic corrosion between the tube and the key mechanism. For example, many quality concert flutes have bronze springs...See the family of flute..
From high to low, the members of the concert flute family include:
Piccolo in C or Db
Treble flute in G
Soprano flute in Eb
Concert flute (also called C flute, Boehm flute, silver flute, or simply flute)
Flûte d'amour (also called tenor flute) in Bb or A
Alto flute in G
Bass flute in C
Contra-alto flute in G
Contrabass flute in C (also called octobass flute)
Subcontrabass flute in G (also called double contra-alto flute) or C (also called double contrabass flute)
Double contrabass flute in C (also called octocontrabass flute or subcontrabass flute)
Hyperbass flute in C (also spelled hyper-bass flute

Now this is bassoon:
The bassoon is a woodwind instrument in the double reed family that typically plays music written in the bass and tenor registers and occasionally even higher. It is called das Fagott in German, il fagotto in Italian, and le basson in French. Appearing in its modern form in the 1800s, the bassoon figures prominently in orchestral, concert band, and chamber music literature. The instrument is known for its distinctive tone color, wide range, variety of character, and agility. Its warm, dark, reedy timbre has often been compared to that of a male baritone voice. Due to the complicated fingering and the problem of reeds, the bassoon is one of the more difficult instruments to learn; schoolchildren typically take up the bassoon only after starting on another easier instrument such as the flute or clarinet. A bassoon player is called a "bassoonist

This is an alto saxophone, its is a wind instrument normally used by concert band, symphonic band military band and so on.......=0.It has many keys .....I think more than 10 lol........It needs tough training before u really can play outstanding musics.....

This is a cornet,lol...its is different from the first picture...cornet is a brass instrument:It is the ones that our school band has.It is divided into 3parts .eg. 1st cornet,2nd cornet and 3rd cornet.Of course 1st cornet is the toughest which is playing the melody 2nd and 3rd cornet are juz chord player lol....but if u play well the band conductor will promote you 1 grade higher isn't that cool!!!!!=]Lol i am playing the gold cornet and I am a 1st player...Its quite tough training.Later I will show you differences between trumpet and cornet.........

Here's a trumpet,it is a brass and wind instrument: The difference of cornet and trumpet is the length .The length of both a trumpet and a cornet is approx 1 meter. the difference is indeed the bore: the trumpet`s bore is cylindrical, whereas the bore of the cornet changes halfway from cylindrical to conical,lolz...its a bit too complicated....Not only the length is the difference but also the sound and size, trumpet sre much longer than cornet as you can see in the picture above.Size of the cornet is obviously fatter and shorter..><.A Cornet has a much more round and mellow sound, unlike the trumpet which was designed to be heard sharp and clear over an orchestra. A piccolo trumpet usually has a less beautiful tone quality, and few uses. A Pocket trumpet has less quality in tone, but is a nice practice trumpet or novelty.Though i didn't play trumpet but i know something about it by searching information on the internet=) lol..haha

Here's a Soprano Saxophone: Lol...It is different from the Alto saxophone as shown in the first picture...Playing Soprano saxophone its tougher than playing Alto saxophone,u have to learn the basic of alto saxophone before you can play Teno saxophone or soprano saxophone..Well talk about it ltr, this may sound a little complicated to some people but its interesting if u know..Have u heard of kenny roger??He is a musician who plays Soprano saxophone lol i don't know much of his background...^-^.
